Custom Harvest Insurance, LTD was formed January 1, 2006 by combining the Custom Harvest program books of business of three separate producers and agencies: Larry Minner, Mike Esau, and Ed Peck. Program business for Custom Harvesters was originally written in 1983 with USF&G Insurance Company. As advocates for the harvest business, the program evolved, and carriers varied from time to time, including a 5 year rent-a-captive set up, but the focus was always the same: to provide the best possible insurance coverage to the clients involved in Custom Harvesting.

In 2017, Jay Copeland and Tracy Beach took over the reins of the program and continue to be dedicated to improving the insurance products available to Custom Harvesters. The agency continues to operate as a specialist in Custom Harvest Insurance, selling a specialty, niche-market, program-style insurance product in both a retail and wholesale setting. They also added lines of business where it made sense, for example, adding a program for custom spray rigs.

Custom Harvesters face unique challenges, and Custom Harvest Insurance, LTD, continues to grow and change to help meet the needs and protect this industry.

Custom Harvest Insurance, Ltd. maintains many memberships in associations involved in promoting and improving insurance products for Custom Harvesters including:  U.S. Custom Harvesters, Inc; The Southeastern Cotton Ginners Association and The Southern Cotton Ginners Association.  The staff of Custom Harvest insurance, LTD sponsors and participates in safety schools each year.
